The Magic of Story with John Schraven
Tuesday, September 19 and Wednesday 20, 2017
The Farmhouse – High Reach Farm, Danville, VT
The Magic of Story is a two part workshop for the storyteller to claim their voice and explore the process that helps us understand ourselves and others. In this supportive environment, participants will be welcomed into the process of seeing and understanding themselves as storytellers.
The workshop is in two parts; participants may take either or both days.
This interactive/participatory experience is for anyone who has ever had a wish to be comfortable sharing a story with others. Many categories of professionals including teachers, medical personnel, mediators, attorneys, social workers and others will find that this workshop will assist them in learning to hear the message conveyed by others as opposed to simply registering the words that are spoken. This workshop would be particularly beneficial for those in occupations where practitioners become exhausted from being bombarded by the needs of others.
